1977
RMT, Inc. is
founded. The early corporate plan for
RMT was to provide industrial clients
with full- service waste management and
groundwater quality consulting
services—from conceptual regulatory
permitting to investigation, design,
construction engineering, and
monitoring.
1994
RMT formalizes
its Construction Services unit and
executes its first turnkey construction
project
2014
RMT is renamed
and rebranded to become IEA Renewable
Energy.
2017
IEA (corporate)
realigns the organization and approach
to executing contracts. As a result, IEA
Renewable Energy’s average contract
doubles in size and annual construction
increases from an average of 500 MW
installed per year to over 1,100 MW.
2018
IEA Renewable
Energy is renamed and rebranded to
become IEA Constructors to expand our
service offerings beyond the namesake of
“renewable energy.”
2022
IEA and its
affiliated companies were acquired by
MasTec and are now part of the
organization's Clean Energy and
Infrastructure segment.
